THE COACHING TEAM
Although enjoying a relatively small membership HPTC is well supported by a number of experienced and enthusiastic coaches. Club members have access to regular swim, bike (turbo in winter months) and occasionally run sessions .
Shane Skillin
Shane is a Sports Science MSc graduate and a British Triathlon approved group & individual coach. Shane uses his background in the sports sciences in combination with the latest coaching methods to deliver the optimal training sessions for his athletes.
Shane has a decade of coaching experience, works with athletes of all ages and abilities and is currently setting up his own triathlon coaching brand Skills Triathlon Coaching.
He also competes at the team GB age group level and races up to the 70.3 distance.

STEPHEN GREENE
Stephen is a level 3 High Performance Coach and is Lead coach to a number of local Triathlon Clubs. Through his company Peak Performance Steve delivers the valuable early Tuesday morning technique based coaching sessions. He was recognised by both British Triathlon ( E Midlands region ) and Derbyshire dales as coach of the year 2019. Steve currently has responsibility with B T Regional Academy and Development Squad helping to coach the next generation of elite triathletes. He certainly practices what he preaches having achieved national and international success at both standard and ironman distance events many as an age group member of Team GB
DAVID DAVIDSON
David has actively competed at sprint, standard and half ironman distance events during the past 12 years locally, nationally and internationally. He has competed in several European and World Age Group Championships as part of Team GB together with a number of challenging open water events usually in warmer climes! David is a level 2 Triathlon Coach having interests in both swim technique coaching and turbo training sessions for HPTC. He currently provides relief lifeguard cover at Chatsworth Health Club.
